About Our Church & History

From pioneering Caribbean families arriving in post-war Birmingham to a thriving beacon of hope in the historic Bishop Latimer building.

Rooted in the Heart of Birmingham

Winson Green Seventh-day Adventist Church was forged through the unwavering faith and resilience of the Windrush generation who made Birmingham their home. Seeking a spiritual sanctuary, early members gathered in living rooms and rented halls before establishing this vibrant congregation.

Today, our historic church building serves not just as a house of prayer on the Sabbath, but as an open resource for families, elders, and young people across our diverse inner-city community.
